Califon Climber
Sunday
Mar. 7
Celebrate the winter months and stay in shape so you feel like a champ in the springtime.... Come ride with us on our scenic, and, yes..., a little hilly tour of Hunterdon & Morris Counties. If the weather is a little colder than you are used to, just dress for the occasion and our rolling to hilly ride will keep you warm! If you don't have the winter riding apparel,... you can always buy your sweetie these items as an early holiday present.... We did this a few years back and have been riding every winter season since. We are starting our ride a little later in the morning so we are riding during the warmest part of the day.

Note: If the roads are not "rideable" we will go for a hike on the Columbia Trail instead. The trail is accessible from the Califon Island Park.

Time 11:00 AM (Optional breakfast at 9:30)
Location Califon Island State Park, Califon
Distance 27 mi.
Terrain Rolling to hilly
Refreshments Optional pancake breakfast at the Califon Firehouse at 9:30 AM. (Let us know you are coming and we can all sit together.)

After-ride food and socializing will be at the quaint and relaxed atmosphere of Nicola Pizzeria on RT. 513 in Califon, approx. 1/4 mile from ride start location.

DOGS Spring Equinox Ride and Party
Saturday
Mar. 27
Come and ride our favorite roads in Medford's neck of the woods. This event has become our spring gathering of DOGS to celebrate the upcoming tandeming season and the shift to longer days. Everyone brings a dish to share; we will provide beverages, plates, etc.

Judy and I will organize a late morning ride (weather permitting, i.e., unless it's pouring) with about twenty-five and forty-five mile options, leaving from our residence in Medford, and traveling east through the farm land and Pine Barrens. Route slips will be available, and showers available at the house after the ride. Or try tandem kayaking after the ride on Centennial Lake. Come for the ride, and work up an appetite for the party thereafter, or come just for the party itself.

See this page to see who's bringing what so far.

Time 10:00 AM (ride); 2-8 PM (party)
Location Medford, NJ
Host Team Jersey Devil (Judy Allison and Malcolm Boyd)
