[Walt Willard report]
Today Al and Deb Cudworth, Richard and Michelle Dittmar, Dave Snope and Susan Nicolich and Claire and I gathered at Thompson Park in Jamesburg , NJ for the Staten Island Bicycling Assocaition's (SIBA) Pumpkin Patch Pedal.
We met at 9am to do the 62 mile course. The weather was gorgeous, and we put in our order to the weather guru ( Dave Snope ) to have a carbon copy for next weekend's Seagull Century.
It's been a few years since we had done the ride, and it was apparent that SIBA had gone some way in perfecting their ride. There was a breakfast pavilion setup, and the post ride sandwiches were accompanied by live music.
I've included the obligatory group shot along with the evidentiary pumpkin pie eating and rest stop costuming.
This is a good one.
