| Annual DOGS Camping Trip | |
|---|---|
| Friday
Jul. 4 to Sunday Jul. 6 | The Annual Dogs Camping Trip will be held July 4,5
and 6. We will be riding Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday, and camping Friday and Saturday nights at New
Jersey's Bulls Island State Park located 8 miles north
of Stockton, NJ on the Delaware
River. Since this is a holiday weekend, we urge
everyone to make their camping reservations early.
the Park Office phone: 609-397-2949 and the website
is <http://www.dandrcanal.com/>.
So far we have reserved sites 66,65,64,63. FYI - Site 67 is already reserved by a non-DOG. The cost is $20 per night. Two tents are allowed on each site so sharing is an option. We would like to reserve as many individually as possible. Please let me know if you reserve a site and if you are willing to share it. Later anyone who decides to camp and cannot get a reservation can let me know. Then I can put together a list of those in need of a site and send it to those willing to share. The team willing to share can contact the team they want to share with and work out the details. As usual, day riders are welcome to join us any of the days. Rides will leave from the Park Office, which is located across the canal from Rt. 29. Details on ride start times and distances will follow. Terrain is moderately hilly to hilly. Food and beverages are on your own for campers and day riders. There are many great restaurants in the area for Friday night. I can provide a list to anyone who is interested. Most are a bit pricey, so I am not going to arrange a group dinner at this time. For Saturday night's dinner most will probably be cooking on site. Additional information will be posted later. |
