Dec. 2 Here's a ride to help keep that conditioning you've worked so hard for all year from fading away. Join us for our 2nd of the season Pancake Ride, starting from Califon Island Park and traveling 26 miles over rolling to hilly terrain with a mid-ride stop at the Hacklebarney Cider Mill (cider and donuts). For those of you who are interested in having the $6 all-you-can-eat Firemen's Breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, and OJ) before the ride, join us at the Califon Firehouse at 9:30 AM. We will start the ride promptly at 11:00 AM, giving the temps a chance to rise a bit before we start. Enjoy an exhilarating ride through quiet roads of Hunterdon and Morris counties.

Terrain Rolling/hilly
Refreshments Optional pancake breakfast at the Califon Firehouse at 9:30 AM. After-ride food and socializing will be at a nearby Italian restaurant, approx. 1/4 mile from ride start location, for pizza, etc. Dutch treat.

Winter Solstice Party

Dec. 8 Continuing the 10-year tradition we will mark the least sunlight days of the year with our annual Winter Solstice Party on 8 December 2007 at the home of Team Cate in Maplewood , NJ . The party starts at 5:00 PM and usually breaks up around 9:00 PM.
This has always been one of our "Signature Events" and a lot of fun as we talk about the rides we had done and the rides we will do, while we indulge in the excellent culinary skills of our club members. All DOGS members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
As usual please let Dave Kristol (solstice2007@d-o-g-s.org) know what food item you are planning to bring to share with your fellow DOGS. This is a potluck affair, so consider what to bring. Consult sign-up list for who's bringing what so far.
