Revised Rolling Riparian Ramble
Sunday
Aug. 5
This year's Rolling Riparian Ramble has been somewhat revised for 2007 to keep things interesting. We will be climbing out of Califon as usual headed towards Morris County and passing near Hacklebarney State Park. Shortly after that, we will begin a long descent down the incredibly beautiful Black River Rd. and into Pottersville. If desired, a stop at the Pottersville General store is available, after which we will continue on mostly level or rolling terrain until we get to Rockaway Rd. where we begin a long gradual climb up to Mountainville. From there, we will follow the terrain up and down as we head back to the Califon area. In addition to the scenic beauty of the terrain, this route seems to be constantly following many streams and rivers along the way, so we named it accordingly. This ride hilly to rolling. Bring your granny gear and be ready to jump in the cool pool at the finish.
Time 9:30 AM
Location Dave's house, 31 School St., Califon, NJ
Distance 33 miles (an extension will be available for mileage junkies)
Terrain Rolling to hilly
Refreshments Sandwich fixin's, beverages, and swim afterwards. Feel free to Bring anything you especially enjoy sharing.

Eastern Tandem Rally 2007 (Where East Meets Midwest) (non-DOGS)
Friday
Aug. 10

to
Sunday
Aug. 12
The theme for ETR 2007 is "Where EAST meets midWEST" because this is the first time ETR has journeyed west of the Pennsylvania state line. In fact, ETR coming to Ohio means it overlaps the territory which the Midwest Tandem Rally has journeyed to three times over the years - hence the theme.

Ride destinations can be as non-descript as just farmlands and scenery, or more specific, such as the historic Revolutionary War era's Fort Laurens in Bolivar, Zoar's German immigrant community, and Magnolia's Sandy and Beaver Canal Days.

Atwood Lake Resort, located in Dellroy, is located 90 minutes from Pittsburgh and Cleveland, 45 minutes south of Akron and Canton, and 150 minutes from Columbus, Ohio. It is also just east of the largest Amish settlement in the U.S.
