Variations on a Theme -- Encore (Something for Everybody)
Saturday
Jun. 10
We all know that we ride at different paces and abilities. So, we got together with Team Bird and decided to jointly sponsor this ride with various routes for teams with various levels and abilities. In 10 years of tandeming Linda and George have built up a symphonic series of variations on a basic theme that includes suburban and rural roads in North Central Morris County.

Since many DOGS have asked for rides with various distances and terrains so, we're going to offer a wide variety of routes as a DOGS ride. These routes range from a short 12 miles up to a hilly 40+ mile ride. None of the routes are flat, there are always some grades to climb, the longer rides have more of them. Yes, there will be cars and trucks on the roads and you will have to exercise care when riding with them. Keep in mind that Team Wells has ridden all these roads so you can probably do the same routes faster, and stronger, than Team Wells.

The plan is to offer all the various routes, and let the teams decide which other teams they want to ride with and plan to do their route-of-choice in somewhere around three hours. The first five miles and the last seven miles will be exactly the same for all routes. Therefore, the faster riders should meet up with the slower riders on the way back to the start/finish point.

There will be a sharing picnic following the ride. There will be a shower available for those who want it, but you do need to bring lawn chairs as Team Wells doesn't have many of them.

Succa-Roller Cali-Ridge Ride

Jun. 25
This longer ride from our house is a different route to Califon and as flat as we could get it. We have one long gradual climb to the top of the mountain ridge and then it's flat to fun fast downhill rollers all the way to Califon. There will be a mid-ride stop point available before you start your return to Succasunna which is also rolling. The ride through Morris and Hunterdon Counties passes by many rivers, farms, fields, woods, horse stables and a couple of general stores.
Time 9:30 AM ride time; arrive earlier for AM snacks
Location Succasunna - TeamBreeze's house
Distance 40 miles
Terrain rolling to flat w/1 short steep hill
Refreshments There will be morning snacks & a cold lunch provided after the ride at TeamBreeze's house.
