DouBLeS DOGS Hill and Dale Scale and Sail
Saturday
Sep. 4
Join the "DouBLeS DOGS" for an enjoyable day of tandeming on pleasant roads in Southwestern Morris County and Northern Somerset County with teams Isherwood & Nicolich/Snope. This is the ride that all who attended in 2002 completed and felt the thrill of the accomplishment! The roads should be quieter than normal on this holiday weekend. So accompany us riding our scenic tandem roller coaster ride with climbs that give you great downhills!! We will pass by lakes, ponds, and many rivers, and we will go over numerous quaint bridges on quiet shaded country roads. When we arrive at the end we can all celebrate the holiday weekend. A shower is available for those that would like to use it.

Country Roads Bicycle Tour (non-DOGS)
Sunday
Sep. 12
The Orange County Country Roads Bicycle Tour is a high-wheeling festival that gathers cyclists from across the region. It starts with a non-competitive bike ride and ends with a banquet, trade show and live music. Country Roads returns Sunday, September 12, offering well-planned routes along uncrowded roads through the varied landscape of Orange County, in New York's Hudson Valley. The routes range in style from a ten-mile flatlander for children and once-in-a-while riders, to a challenging metric century through rolling farmland and over forested ridges. Along the way, riders refuel at frequent rest stops stocked with plenty of fresh fruit, hand-made sandwiches and cookies and cakes baked at home, often from recipes that go back several generations. At journey's end, riders will find cool shade and a bountiful picnic. Jake Stigers and the Velvet Roots, a great dance band, will take the open-air stage. Stigers is an emerging rocker whose performances in and around New York have created an enthusiastic following

Medford - Sooy - Chatsworth Loop
Sunday
Sep. 26
After a great Saturday work-out in the hills with Walt and Claire, join Judy and Malcolm on Sunday for a spin-your-legs and numb-your-butt flat ride. This ride is specifically designed for training for the Seagull Century, which has very similar terrain. You will get great, low traffic opportunities to log some miles and to practice tandem pace-lining with a group riding at your favorite speed. (We are looking for a way to add a few more nice miles as an option to the 55-ish mile route.)

Note: We could begin the ride earlier if that would suit people. Share your thoughts.

Time 9:30 AM
Location Start at the Boyd/Allison house in Medford
Distance About 40 miles and 55 miles; route slips provided. At least one open deli on each route.
Terrain Flat, flatter, and nearly the flattest.
Refreshments Post-ride drinks, snacks, sandwiches and socializing at the house; showers, too.
Host Judy Allison and Malcolm Boyd
Contact Judy at Judy @LoveLaughter.com or call us at 856 988-8211. Please RSVP so we can have sufficient sandwich materials and drinks on hand! That way you can also get directions to our house!
