Fall Frolic

We missed the pack despite leaving the house in plenty of time to arrive, kibitz, assemble the bike necessities. Someone got carried away, or, more precisely, medivaced away..leaving only their charred, topless vehicle on I-78 near I-287. It took us an hour to creep two miles.

We advised Susan of our plight early on, and encouraged everyone to forge ahead. She agreed to leave cue sheets in the mailbox. She called back later to check our status at a little after 10AM, as the group was slow to assemble, but we were not much farther down the road.

We arrived, setup and took off at 10:59 for the 25 miler. We were happy to have the sunshine after our rained-out Seagull weekend. We got back 5 minutes after Greg and Susan finished their 25 mile ride. After cleaning up and a modicum of prep work, the kennel was assembled and the BBQ commenced.
