For a "short notice" ride, we had a good showing of six teams, including the hosts, for a rolling metric century. The ride was borrowed from a ride we did previously with the MAFW Club and we found it fitting for a splendid tandem event. The weather cooperated and the pace was down to earth as the majority of the teams rode the better part of the ride together. There were plenty of rest stops along the way and we had a brief "lunch" at the mid-way point in Hopewell. On the return portion we encountered a slight delay when we had to wait for a long freight train crossing the roadway. We also passed the Somerset Airport on our lengthy adventure. When we all completed the ride we had a little picnic gathering in the shade of a tree in the parking lot before one team after another had to leave to continue their other daily activities. Thanks to all who attended our ride and braved the 62 miles with us. We enjoyed your company!
