Five teams stoked up on a pancake breakfast at the Califon Firehouse. Then all gathered at Califon Island Park to ride through parts of Hunterdon County, up hill and down. The promised sunny, though cool, weather vanished behind steely gray skies, and the temperatures stayed in the low 40's. Nevertheless, nine hearty teams braved the cold and assorted mechanical problems (thrown chains, one wedged between spokes and freewheel).
